Balloon Sinus Dilation

Opening of the sinuses

Chronic sinusitis is a condition of chronic inflammation in the hollow areas in our skulls that drain into our nose.  When that problem becomes frequent or chronic and doesn't go away with the appropriate use of medications, balloon sinus dilation may be a way to open up the sinuses more to allow the inflammation to clear.  When appropriate, balloon sinus dilation can be an alternative that is less invasive with faster recovery than traditional sinus surgery.
